if you'll be flying, San Diego International Airport will be your destination.
our airport is not nearly as busy as other major airports so baggage claim is usually fairly quick

if you will be using Uber or Lyft, you'll exit the baggage claim area and cross the street to the island in the parking area. you will see signs directing you to the appropriate line for each service (its about $60 to get from the airport to the La Jolla Cove area)
​
the rental car area is off site and accessed by a shuttle bus. be advised that this shuttle is frequently very crowded and lines at the rental car desks can exceed an hour wait time.

From Interstate 5 SOUTH:

take the exit for la jolla village drive (west)
turn Right onto la jolla village drive
stay straight to continue onto torrey pines road
turn right onto prospect street
take the right street option to go onto coast blvd
the destination is across from the park, on the left side of the street

From Interstate 5 NORTH

take the exit for highway 52 and la jolla parkway
stay in the lane for la jolla parkway
continue onto torrey pines road stay straight
turn right onto prospect street
take the right lane for coast blvd
the destination is on your left, across from the park

From Highway 52 WEST

take the exit for la jolla parkway/torrey pines road
continue as la jolla parkway becomes torrey pines road
turn right onto prospect street
